This depiction of the age of steam in Truckee California will be available soon as a limited edition Giclee' print on canvas.
The artist traveled to California last spring to research the unique railroad history of the town, which is located near the infamous Donner Pass.
This was the home territory of the famous cab forward locomotives of the Southern Pacific which were used to traverse in safety the long snow shed tunnels of that mountainous region of the west.
His visits included the Historical society, the library archives, local historic book sellers and numerous eateries where people gathered beneth historic old photos and artwork of the towns past to dine and talk railroad history.
